Sometimes these can be one and the same thing - just viewed a different way...
Take the Easter Holidays for example:
Good Things:
- No school run (Hooray!)
- Sunshine
- Less plans
- Less rushing
- Time with family
- Easter itself
Bad Things:
- Less time to myself
- Less time for blogging (apologies - I know it's been ages)
- Hay fever
- Suncream wars (the familiar sequel to the Sunhat wars...)
- Endless Creepy-crawly evictions due to warm weather, and newly phobic small boy...
I'm sure you could add more to your list...
Maybe life is a lesson in learning to focus on the positive, rather than the negative.
After all, who wants to be miserable?
We are having a lovely Easter. Somehow Matt has got the whole Easter weekend off - Good Friday through to Easter Monday. As a paramedic he works shifts and I think this is the first time in years that we've had the whole of any bank holiday period off together. We haven't done much - bits and pieces around the house, went to the park, and we're off to a barbecue this afternoon but it's been lovely. And the sunshine is fantastic! Warm but not too warm. Now if Phoebe would just start sleeping past 6am again that would make everything perfect...
ReplyDeleteHey Gill.
ReplyDeleteYou've helped nudge me back into more domestic and ongoing blogging (rather than specific project blogging) - it's taking shape at http://gatheringhillmorton.blogspot.com/
And I'm hoping Kate'll get stuck in too.
